What a fabulous high end house with lots of space for multiple ages catered for!

Cinema room was a surprising plus, we didn’t think we’d use it but it was fabulous. I’m not a techie but it linked to all the platforms and young and old were happy. Games room was great too, we brought toys and games with us, but needn’t have, it was so well stocked for all ages.

The house was super clean, and we couldn’t fault it. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances (coffee machine, washer/dryer etc). Coals for the Bbq, wood for the fire pit. Everything was supplied including a welcome pack. And flowers. .

The hot tub engineer was out a few times during our stay for standard upkeep and was very thorough and friendly.

Great location. Five/ten mins walk to the beach and shops. Great view of the coast/:sea.

Thorndale is a lovely property in a perfect location with lovely views. It has everything you could want, what with a cinema room, hot tub and a games room in the loft - our group had a very comfortable stay at the property. It was cleaned to a very high standard and we really appreciated the prompt response from the owners to any questions we had about the property in the lead up to our stay there. Check-in and check-out were very straightforward. We have been recommending the property to our friends and have no hesitation in doing so.

The photos don’t do justice to this house. The view from the balcony is cafe del mar-esque and we had amazing weather to enjoy it. The bifold doors made that space magical on a hot day. The house had something for everyone, a big garden for playing, an unusually well stocked kitchen (v generous with staples like loo roll, cling film, dishwasher tabs etc, which makes a place so much more welcoming). Everyone loved the games room, and the hot tub was a real treat after the beach. Warm outdoor shower was a lovely touch too.

Westward ho beach is enormous and even on a bank holiday felt empty. The car parking area is vast - looks like it can accommodate hundreds of cars. The visitor centre end of the beach (next to what looks like a great golf course, to the non-golfer?) is much quieter and the visitor centre itself looks new and glossy. Loos just off the beach plus a cafe and shop, everything you could need on hand. It feels like a very well kept secret compared to its shiny popular cousins at croyde and Saunton sands. We usually explore local beaches but with such a cracker on the doorstep, and so much space, we felt no need.

The town itself is more like Blackpool than Rock (Cornwall) but all the better for it. No being run off the roads by entitled Disco drivers here - this place was full of polite people having a good time. All the kids loved the amusement arcades and ice cream stalls, and there were go karts and mini golf for the cloudier days we never had, plenty to do.

The owners replied to queries immediately, which was so appreciated. Excellent service.
